Bethel Chapel, Trecynon, 2003
This is what remains of Bethel, the Welsh Congregational Chapel, and the
side entry to the vestry where assemblies and music lessons took place. The
school carol service took place in the main chapel. It’s located at the
top of Tudor Terrace, and it’s obvious that it hasn’t been used
for a long time, having closed in the late 1980s. The entrance is blocked by
ivy, elder and sycamore plants. The Welsh Baptist chapel nearly opposite, Capel
y Gadlys, has been converted into flats.
