Eisteddfod Proclamation Ceremony, 1955
Photo from the Eisteddfod Proclamation held in Aberdare Park in 1955. The page boy is Dylan Morgan,
and the lady carrying the Corn Hirlas was a Baptist minister’s wife, Mrs Myfanwy Thomas.
Note the large stones. These were in the form of a stone circle which is still there,
and their location can just be seen on the East side of the Park on the
Bing aerial photo of Aberdare Park.
