Golf Day & Reunion, 23rd May 2014
Aberdare Boys Grammar & Comprehensive Schools
Twenty hardy past students braved the showers and wind to play golf at Aberdare Golf Club prior to a reunion dinner at the Club attended by 50 past students.
At the dinner the guests were welcomed by the Captain of AGC, Richie Williams who offered the facilities of the club for any future event or dinner.
A toast to the school and absent friends was proposed by Brian Morgan, who also asked a representative from each table to give a short reflection on their school days.
Then followed the prize presentation for the golf.
Overall Winner: Ian Parsell
Longest Drive: Rod Smith
Nearest the Pin: Tony Dally
After the dinner Bob Webb entertained with an hour of superb comedy after which we retired to the bar to continue reminiscing.
