The President of the Society was always the Headmaster, in this case William Rees Williams

Miss Dorothy Jessie Charlotte Rees was brought up in Dean Street. She was a pupil at the Trecynon School 1904-1910, later entering UCW Aberystwyth with a County Exhibition. After brief spells teaching in Compiègne, Marlborough G.S., and Llandovery County School, she returned to Aberdare where she taught French, English, History and Latin. She was appointed on 1 September, 1917 and retired in December 1945.
She was one of two teachers who started at the school in 1917: the other was Miss  Kate  Roberts subsequently to become the celebrated Welsh writer.

Miss Margaret Blena Davies entered the school in 1908 just before her fifteenth birthday, and completed her School Certificate in 1911. She was active on the PSA Committee in the inter-war period, and at the time of this dinner was the Chairman of the Society. She was brought up in Seymour Street and later in Trecynon.
