Cinema Adverts from 1964
Here, in two parts, is a scan of the cinema adverts from the Aberdare Leader of April 18, 1964. These adverts were always displayed in the broadsheet Aberdare Leader in a long vertical column. The adverts are for The Palladium, The Rex, The Grand Theatre in Aberaman, and The Welfare Hall in Cwmaman. They show that two programmes per week were commonly offered. You can also see what used to be called the "B" picture advertised. I cannot remember exactly what the entry prices were, but 1/9d downstairs and 2/3d upstairs seems to ring a bell.
